Welcome to My Crowdfunding Project
Alyxx Weishaar, to the amazement and enjoyment of those around her, was born to entertain.
At the tender age of 10 months, she hummed “Edelweiss” on key!
She lit up the stage whenever she was on it.
She had an uncanny knack to bring music into everything she did, including studying her vocabulary and spelling by singing the words. Alyxx didn’t walk into a room… she danced.
Alyxx is no stranger to the stage or performing. Whenever there was an opportunity to perform, Alyxx was there.
She studied and performed at:
- American Girl Theater, NYC
- Westchester Broadway Theater
- Elmwood Playhouse
- Martha’s Vineyard Summer Theater Laboratory
- Coupe Dance & Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble
- Act II Theatre & School
She played roles like:
- Isle in Spring Awakening
- Tessie in Annie
- Strawberry Soloist/Ensemble in Oliver
- Sugar Plum, Snow Queen, Gigue, Petit Four, Soldier, Russian, Polichenelle, Party Girl, Snow Fairy, Flower, Chinese Ribbon, Jack-in-the-Box, and Snow Flake in Nutcracker.
She got her first professional start in the American Girl’s Revue in New York City when she was only eleven years old. She was also selected to be a part of the American Girl Ambassadors, a group that represented American Girl outside of the show. The group performed at various events such as the Tribeca Film Festival, events at South Street Seaport, singing the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium, and charity events.
After spending three and a half years with the company, she left to finish high school. During that time, she continued to train at Coupe Dance Studio in jazz, ballet, pointe, theater dance, hip hop, modern, and tap, as well as private voice and acting lessons. She has also performed in college, community, and regional theaters.
Performing is Alyxx’s life. She started writing her own music a few years ago and has the amazing ability to translate her emotions into her music. Like many young people today, sometimes life’s journey can be a rocky one. As her mother, I listen to the words and music she has written during some rough times, and am so moved by her ability to translate into music incredible wisdom for someone so young. She lost way too many friends in life way too early, and has written songs to express her deep feelings about these losses, as well as life in general.
When I watch my daughter perform or listen to her music, all is right with the world. She lights up any stage, and sends chills up the spines of those listening to her sing. Alyxx, like many today, works three jobs to enable her to pursue her dream of performing, creating original music videos, and recording her first CD. She continues to perform whenever there is an opportunity. Being on a stage, in front of a microphone, sitting at her keyboard, in a recording studio… this is where Alyxx belongs. Again, like everything in life, these dreams come with a price tag attached – a HIGH one.
It is for this reason, I thank you for visiting my Crowdfunding project to help Alyxx achieve her dream of being able to record and create music videos of her original music with the end result being CD of her original music. She is looking to raise $4,000 for this project.
I would like to thank you in advance for considering making a donation to my Crowdfunding campaign so that I can help my daughter achieve her goal.
